Formative Years/Roots


Born on April 18th, 1963 in Brookline, Massachusetts, Conan was the third of six children in an Irish Catholic family. His father was a Research Physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. His mother was a former partner of a Boston law firm.

Conan was valedictorian at his high school and magna cum laude at Harvard University. Conan was the second person in 85 years to be president of the Harvard Lampoon, the famous comedy magazine, two years in a row. His success as a student and indisputable comedic talent were signs of things to come.
